Tran Xuan Quang (Lukas) is the managing director of Global Sustainable Sourcing Solutions Co., Ltd. (GSS) which is run by a group of international qualified and experienced compliance professionals. The GSS aspires to become a globally trusted and reputable service provider in Social and Environmental Compliance Monitoring & Consulting, Supplier Capability & Capacity Assessment, Supply Chain Security Program Verification and other practical Global Sustainable Business Solutions. Along with responsibilities of operations management, Lukas is also involved directly in monitoring, consulting, coaching and training the company’s clients where his valuable knowledge and experience can be best utilized to help the clients achieve their sustainable development goals.

From June 2013 to April 2020 Lukas used to work as Regional Representative, Quality Assurance Technician cum Senior Lead Auditor on Food Safety and Ethical Sourcing for Quirch Foods Company – one of the largest distributors of food products in the Southeastern U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean – where he is responsible for managing the compliance performance of seafood processing plants located in China, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. He possesses a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit combined with a great passion for helping others to be inspired and educated as well as responsibility and belief in sustainable improvements of workplace conditions.

Lukas started his professional career as Project Assistant and then Junior Project Manager at German Development Bank namely KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) in environmental protection, forestry conservation and vocational training programs in Hanoi from July 2006 to February 2008. In May 2008, he joined Intertek Vietnam Limited – a multinational Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification company – based in Hanoi, as Lead Auditor in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Quality Management System (QMS), Supplier Qualification Program (SQP) and Global Security Verification Program (GSV). Since February 2012, he has been with Social Compliance Service Asia Limited (SCSA) – a professional compliance service firm – where he used to work as Regional Lead Auditor, Team Supervisor and Internal Trainer covering Vietnam, partly in Cambodia and Bangladesh.

With more than 14 years of experience engaging in auditing, sustainability solutions consulting and capacity building activities, Quang has wide and solid knowledge of Codes of Conduct, Workplace Standards and Responsible Sourcing Programs of over 100 brands and corporations in various industries of garments, footwear, electronics, toys, office stationery, furniture, house appliance, housewares, seafood, beverage & food, etc. He has been trained and certified as Lead Auditor by SA8000, amfori BSCI, SMETA, Adidas, Nike, Walmart, Costco, Target, IKEA, Tesco, Polo Ralph Lauren, Loblaw, Limited Brands, DKNY, DSG, J.
