Mr. Tran Xuan Quang (Lukas) is the Founder and CEO of GSS Company, a professional consulting and training organization specializing in Compliance, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Sustainable Business.
With over 18 years of hands-on experience in auditing, consulting, coaching, and training thousands of businesses across various industries, Mr. Lukas has played a crucial role in imparting valuable knowledge and expertise to enterprises, helping them achieve their sustainable development goals. His unique combination of business acumen and passion for inspiring and delivering value to others drives his unwavering commitment to improving workplace conditions and supply chain sustainability.
From June 2013 to April 2020, Mr. Lukas served as the Asia Regional Representative for Quirch Foods, a U.S.-based food corporation. In this role, he was directly responsible for managing the social compliance performance, supply chain security program, and food safety management systems of over 200 seafood suppliers and processors across India, Indonesia, Thailand, China, and Vietnam. Beyond these five countries, he also provided remote guidance and consultation on compliance capacity for Quirch Foods’ suppliers in New Zealand, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, and Argentina.
Alongside running his own business and managing Quirch Foods’ supply chain, Mr. Lukas is also a Master Trainer, collaborating with the Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade and Trade Facilitation Office (TFO) Canada in a project aimed at enhancing compliance capacity and leveraging CPTPP benefits for 300 enterprises in industries such as textiles, footwear, furniture, handicrafts, seafood, and agriculture. In addition to holding pedagogical certifications that qualify him to lecture at universities and colleges, Mr. Lukas is a Lead Auditor for multiple international standards, including SA8000, amfori BSCI, RBA, and ISO 9001:2015. He also serves as a Senior Consultant for renowned domestic and international organizations such as ILO, UNICEF, VCCI, and BetterWork Vietnam, contributing to projects on children’s rights promotion, child labor prevention and mitigation, and protection of young workers.
Mr. Lukas possesses extensive knowledge of labor laws, occupational health & safety, environmental regulations, business ethic as well as supplier standards and codes of conduct from over 100 global brands, retailers, and corporations, including Walmart, Costco, Tesco, Carrefour, Loblaw, Target, Disney, IKEA, Adidas, Nike, Kohl’s, Inditex, PVH, Polo Ralph Lauren, Decathlon, HBI, JC Penney, Perry Ellis, Chico’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, DKNY, Motorola, Siemens, Coca-Cola, Unilever, and more.
He began his career as a Project assistant and later became a Project Manager at the German Development Bank (KfW), working on environmental protection, forest conservation, and vocational training programs from July 2006 to February 2008. In May 2008, he transitioned to Intertek Vietnam, a multinational corporation providing testing, inspection, certification, and quality & safety solutions, headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam. At Intertek, Mr. Lukas served as a Lead Auditor specializing in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Supplier Qualification Programs (SQP), and the Global Security Verification (GSV) program. From February 2012, he joined SCSA, a compliance auditing company, as a Lead Auditor and Regional Manager for Vietnam, parts of Cambodia, and Bangladesh.
Born in Hanoi on July 17, 1982, Mr. Lukas graduated from Phuong Dong University with a Bachelor’s degree in German Language Studies (2006) and a second degree in Business Administration (2008). He is currently enrolled in the STEM Executive MBA (SeMBA) program at the FSB Institute of Management & Technology, FPT University.
